LEE UFAN
Marking Infinity
24 June – 28 September, 2011
The Guggenheim presents the first U.S. retrospective of the artist,
philosopher, and poet Lee Ufan, charting the artist’s creation of a
visual, conceptual, and theoretical language that has expanded the
possibilities for sculpture and painting. For Lee, each artwork mediates
a dynamic encounter between the viewer, object, and site that opens up
"a realm of infinity where one can continuously bring one’s self back to
nothingness.”
